Ladies Evening an Outstanding Success

Over 130 women were treated to a relaxing, yet informative “Ladies Night” at West Yorkshire Motors, Glasshoughton, Castleford last week.

The event was a joint venture between West Yorkshire Motors and the West Yorkshire Trading Standards Motor Trade Partnership. It has been recognised that the Motor Industry is a very male dominated environment and many women often feel uncomfortable when shopping for a new car or having a service / repair carried out. In an effort to redress the balance, West Yorkshire Motors hosted a special evening designed to appeal to their women customers.

Various organisations attended, Advanced Driving, Road Safety, Trading Standards, and Virgin Vie.

Those present were able to visit each organisation and ask any questions and collect information. As an impressive finale “Diva of Ackworth” performed a fashion show.

Robert Ruffler, Sales Manager of West Yorkshire Motors said, “The evening has been a great success and I would hope that all the ladies who attended have enjoyed themselves. Customer care is at the forefront of our service, and we aim to ensure that all our customers are treated to a first class service.”

Councillor Graham Clarke, Chairman of West Yorkshire Joint Services said “ The Motor Trade Partnership is all about ensuring that consumers are able to identify those motor traders who are going to treat them in a fair and honest fashion. Consumers need to ensure that they make informed purchases and don’t get caught out. There are motor traders out there who sell clocked vehicles, or claim repairs are needed when they are not. I would urge consumers to look for the Motor Trade Partnership logo displayed by members.”
