EXTENDED
OPENING AT COUNTY'S REGISTER OFFICES
EXTENDED
opening hours at some of its main registration offices have been announced by
North Yorkshire County Council.
From
July 1, Scarborough and Northallerton will open on Friday afternoon,
Selby will be open on Wednesday afternoon and Harrogate will open at 8.30am.
Increased hours were announced for Whitby in November last year.
Councillor
John Dennis, the county council's executive member responsible for the
registration service in North Yorkshire said: “Despite all the problems we had
in North Yorkshire last year, we still had more weddings in the hotels and
stately homes approved for weddings than ever before.
"Like
the new office for Whitby which is nearly ready, this is another sign of our
wish to make sure we are always listening to the views of our clients."
For
further information, contact Robin Mair or Stuart Pudney on 01609- 766410.
