West Yorkshire Trading Standards Service has re-launched its On-Line Quiz this week.  Are you a resident of West Yorkshire and will you still be under 18 on 31 August 2002?  If so here’s your chance to get your hands on some great prizes from Puma, the sponsors of the On-Line Quiz, as well as other spot prizes from Trading Standards.

To enter simply visit the website and click on “On-Line Quiz”.  All you have to do is answer the 10 consumer related questions and submit your answers by email, post or fax.  Every month prizes from Puma will be awarded and if you do particularly well you could be awarded additional prizes.  The best thing is that the On-Line Quiz is changed every month so if you miss out on a prize this time – there’s always next month.

If you are not on-line you can get a copy of the quiz form by contacting the West Yorkshire Consumer Helpline on 0113 3848 848 and you can submit your entry by post or fax.  Why not ask your school to contact us so your whole class can enter? We can send you quiz forms every month when the questions change.

The re-launch of the On-Line Quiz comes on the back of the highly competitive West Yorkshire Young Consumer Regional Final that was held at Elland Road, home of Leeds United FC, in March 2002.  In the final, schools from across the region competed for the title West Yorkshire Young Consumers of the Year.  The overall winners were from Salt Grammar School and they will go on to represent the region in the National Finals in Birmingham this summer.  Why not battle it out against the winning team from Salt Grammar, who are sure to be entering the On-Line Quiz.

Martin Wood, Chief Officer of West Yorkshire Joint Services said,

“We are committed to the principle of lifelong learning and the On-Line Quiz is a great way to reach the younger consumers in our region.  We are very grateful to Puma, a popular brand with the age group we are targeting, for providing such great prizes.  Their sponsorship encourages youngsters to get involved and become more aware of their rights as consumers.”
