OPEN DAY FOR WEST YORKSHIRE JOINT SERVICES

West Yorkshire Joint Services are to hold an Open Day at their premises on Nepshaw Lane South in Morley on Friday 5^th July between 9am and 6pm and Saturday 6^th July between 10am and 3pm.  

The Open Day will give an insight into the work of West Yorkshire Joint Services, the Archives, Archaeology, Trading Standards Service, Public Analyst, Materials Testing and the Grants Service.   

All of these services are provided by the Constituent Authorities – the 5 District Councils of West Yorkshire, Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.

There will be numerous displays, exhibits and tours taking place throughout the day.

• Find out about local history
• Guided tours of the Public Analyst’s laboratory
• Come and see archaeological finds dating from 2500BC
• Do you know your consumer rights?  Come and speak to one of our consumer advisors
• How do you know that you are getting a full measure?
• Is your sofa up to Fire Regulation Standards?

Councillor Graham Clarke of West Yorkshire Joint Services stated, “I am proud of the work of West Yorkshire Joint Services and want to give local people the opportunity to experience the wide range of activities that are undertaken. The Open Day is a free event and will be interesting for all who attend, so bring your family and friends along for an informative and fun day out”.
