What an Achievement

It is increasingly difficult in this day and age for a business to ensure that it meets the needs and expectations of all its customers, things occasionally go wrong or communications breakdown resulting in advice being sought from the West Yorkshire Trading Standards Consumer Helpline.

A business who achieves a full year complaint free is therefore committed to ensuring that customer service is paramount to their business. Good customer service is what distinguishes a business from it competitors and means repeated business and recommendations.

West Yorkshire Trading Standards Motor Trade Partnership has over 100 members; the members are closely monitored to ensure that the highest standards are maintained. West Yorkshire Trading Standards were delighted to be able to recognise the efforts of 6 of their Motor Trade Partnership members, by presenting them with achievement plaques. The plaques outline that the Service has received no complaints in relation to the members listed below from October 2002 – October 2003.

Over 80,000 complaints are taken by the Consumer Helpline each year; the Motor Trade Partnership is all about ensuring that consumers receive a fair and honest service. The partnership is there to help both the consumer and the member resolve any disputes as amicably as possible.

Councillor Graham Clarke, Chairman of West Yorkshire Joint Services said “It is a pleasure to be able to give such awards, it shows the positive commitment to consumer care of the members. It is a very difficult task for a business to be able to satisfy all of its customers and therefore it was felt that the achievement should not go unrecognised.”

Any consumer wishing to find out more about the Motor Trade Partnership, and who the members are, can either call the Consumer Helpline on 0113 3 848 848 or alternatively log onto www.ts.wyjs.org.uk and click on the logo.
